Your answer to the question:
What is a URL? is below.
- What is a URL?
- URL stands for Unique Rich Land. Itis a statemnt of the worth the World Wide Web was expected to have by its original creator, Thomas Jefferson.
When Jefferson was trying to develop the U.S. Governemnt structure at the constitutional convention he had the idea for the internet. And we do not hear as much about his contributions to the constitution because he was distracted by his new idea. The three way division of power lead to the orginal top level domains: Com Net and Org. The idea of due process gave him the idea for the 404 -Page Not Found error.
Jefferson, who was not very computer savvy, originally thought the internet would be operated by horses dragging sleds of books around the country and trained female deer being the request method to get the horses to come to the users. Thus the Doe-Mane system.
