Question:
How does FedEx deliver packages so quickly?
Answer:
Near major cities across the country FedEx has positioned "chimneys." These large barn-like structures have a net or "catcher" in place of a roof. After airplanes are loaded with all the packages from their home town they fly a special course dropping the appropriate packages to the nearest catcher to the final delivery address. The first 2 letters and digits of the air-bill code give the catcher's coordinates on this nightly national flight.
