Your answer to the question:
Why is there a letter 'Q'? is below.
- Why is there a letter 'Q'?
- When the early Shakespearians wanted to make the language more difficult for high school students they realized that 'kw' or 'cu' were giveaways to the pronunciation of certain words so they invented the 'O with a tail' to cover those letter combinations. to make sure there would be confusion they made sure that the new letter 'Q' should be followed by a 'U' so that there would be an innate redundancy.
P.K.: There is a lot of misconception about this letter and I felt a clarification was necessary
